Iris is one of the very few survivors from the WR2 Event. She is a [REDACTED] and was part of the TESCO Auxliary Support Unit (TASU). Together with Taiga, they wander around Luonnotar, finding more about humanity and its past while taking in the sights and sounds of the now abandoned planet they call home.

Personality

Iris is a quiet person and only talks when she feels like it. On the outside, Iris seems like a serious, cold and ignorant person, but on the inside she is very sensitive to emotions is actually very caring and careful. She constanly ensures here items (like her gun) is always i pristine condition and treats it with upmost respect. Iris also has an eye for detail and takes note of every single feature of her surroundings, be it weapons or places to hide. Because Iris has been alone for quite some time, she suffers from social isolation and anxiety, and developed separation anxiety when Taiga was found. Taiga has been doing everything she can to help Iris.

Backstory

Iris was created in the year 2408 in batch 21 as part of the [REDACTED]. She was made specifically to be a sniper with much steadier hands, better night time vision and better temperature regulation due to Luonnotar's darker and colder environment. However, a year after incubation started, all personel and people on Luonnotar had to be evacuated due to the WR2 Event, leaving Iris alone in the lab under maintainance from the automated system within it. Iris kept growing in the lab for the next few years, but was forcfully released from her incubation chamber in 2424 due to single-event upset caused by a cosmic ray hitting a sensitive instrument, causing the automated system to execute an emergency release of Iris. Iris slowly learnt about the lab and its surroundings, and began venturing further and further, until she decided to start exploring the planet and never return.

2 years go by, and by this point Iris started wondering what's the point of living if this is all she will ever do. One day, she ventured out during a snowstorm knowing that it could kill her, but she had fully given up at this point. She collpased, closed her eyes, and expected to never wake up, but just before she fell unconscious, she noticed a figure next to her. That's when everything went black.

She wakes up in the warmth of an abandoned apartment, and right beside her, a girl dressed in blue eagerly watches her. Iris senses a strange aura eminating from her, as if she was almost human, but not quite. Little does she know this girl would soon become her reason for living.
